I’d rather give up anything other than chocolate. Chocolate and chocolate cakes are my weakness and frequent reason to visit the gym ? When I found out that I can not consume milk, due to breastfeeding of a child with casein (milk protein) intolerance, it did not occur so terrible at first. I immediately thought I would just stop putting milk into my coffee. Then, I found that milk and products of it usually are in every other meal available in regular restaurants. But I was terrified when I realized milk was a part of about 90% of chocolate and chocolate desserts. Fortunately there are non-milk chocolate desserts. The recipe for chocolate avocado mousse is probably on every foodblog, at least vegan, but I’ll put it here anyway, because it has become my favorite and I already took a picture of it. At first mixing avocado with cocoa didn´t sound very attractive to me. Ugh? But banana covers up the flavor of avocados and avocados add creamy consistency. Plus, we can feel like eating a healthy snack. If you have the ingredients you need, it is super simple and super fast. I always serve it to unexpected visits. At least for those ones tolerating cocoa :)))
Chocolate avocadomousse (2 servings)
- 1 banana
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 1/2 cup of plant based milk
- 1 tablespoon of sweeteners (eg maple syrup, agave, rice syrup, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Blend all ingredients together. Use the amount of sweetener according to your preference.
Bon appétit!
